This is the story of my life. I describe my journey through ten years of Catholic school where beatings and brainwashing were the norm, my survival in a good Catholic family whom I believe were mentally ill, getting drafted during the Vietnam war and fighting there as a Marine for one year, during which 95% of my Company were either killed or wounded, coming back to a chaotic America determined to make something of my life. I describe the terrible effects of PTSD and how I finally conquered it after 30 years of psycho-therapy and medications. It is a story of utter desolation and ultimate redemption. I want to demonstrate that no matter how far down we go, we can still rise up and redeem ourselves.

This book is Historical Fiction that is based on an actual Nuclear Bomb test in the Marshall Islands in the early 1950's. I have created fictional characters who find themselves caught up in a cataclysm that they can't escape.
