I describe graphically what it was like to fight the North Vietnamese and Vietcong and describe some of the major battles my Company fought in, the tactics used by the Vietnamese and the tactics we Marines had to use if we hoped to survive.

Millions of military war veterans suffer like me from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which manifests itself in numerous ways, including severe depression, anxiety, insomnia, paranoia, and feelings of hopelessness, which often results in suicide. I came close to killing myself but fortunately sought help at the Veterans Administration hospital in Long Beach, CA and they were able to help me get my life back on track. It was a long, hard battle but I no longer need strong medications and no longer have suicidal thoughts. I describe my recovery in detail in this book.
